Oakley Renovation

Welcome to this wonderful renovation on Marburg Avenue. This home was very lovingly restored in 2004 to the good taste of the current owner. She made many mechanical, cosmetic and functional upgrades and improvements to this home, it is perfect for you! The living room has all new replacement windows (all but the front windows, to maintain the character of the exterior of the home). The living room has crown molding, new upgraded neutral carpeting in excellent condition, a restored grande fireplace, and lots of natural lighting. The living room is open to the study, dining room and entry, stairway.
The floors in this home were refinished in 2004 and gleam throughout! The window you see in this photo was kept original for character; there are several other unique windows in this home that give it such great character. Again, this room has light pouring in from all angles.
Here is the updated kitchen, tasteful neutral flooring, freshly painted, lighting, neutral countertops, wood cabinets and great white appliances. This kitchen is centrally located and great for entertaining. The kitchen is also large enough to eat in, with great lighting. The kitchen walks out the side to the rear of the home to enjoy the private rear yard and patio.
The study is a sun filled room with neutral carpeting and all Gilkey windows, with a lifetime guarantee. This would be an excellent study, office, play room, studio, and library or breakfast room. Make it what you wish, a great space for your family to spread out without taking up a bedroom.
The entry has a new door with window to allow lighting inside. The closet is in the entry for you and your guests’ coats. It is great to be able to walk into an entry area instead of the living room as most of the local homes must. There is space for a table for your keys, and purse. Then just walk into the kitchen or living room and enjoy your new home.
There are three large bedrooms on the second floor of this home. This is the front bedroom, with refinished floors, a ceiling fan, window treatments, and lots of natural light.
The rear bedroom is currently being used as an office, but would make a great bedroom! Refinished floors, ceiling fan and window treatments with a great closet make this a good 3rd bedroom. Much larger than other homes’ third bedroom.
The master bedroom has been totally renovated as well. This room features refinished hardwood floors, a ceiling fan, window treatments and a closet.
The full bath on the second floor has been totally renovated in 2004. A tile surround bathtub/shower, a new pedestal sink with a new toilet, and another dressing area around the corner. This bathroom has all new features including new plumbing! Very nice and neutral with natural lighting.
This driveway was widened and re poured in 2006. Now this one car garage is simple to pull even a 4 Runner SUV inside. The garage is electric, with a remote. The retaining wall was moved away from the driveway to give more parking. This is a tremendous benefit to be able to easily use your driveway and garage in this community!
The rear yard is wonderful for doggies or small children. It is mostly private, fenced in totally, and has a great patio to enjoy the afternoon or entertain guests!
Large and spacious rear yard put in a swing set or a game of corn hole and you will be all set this Spring!
The covered front porch is so inviting, with the character of the stone, and the new front door. Welcome to 3539 Marburg we look forward to seeing you at the house!
Welcome home to this lovely Hyde Park Dutch Colonial. This 3 bedroom 1.5 bath home is convenient to I-71, shopping, and walking distance to restaurants, bars and shopping at Hyde Park Square and Hyde Park Plaza and a short distance to Oakley Square. This home is nestled on a quiet street in an amazing location. The home features a driveway and a built-in one car garage which is a rare find in this area! This home has been very well cared for over the years.
Just another step in and you begin to see the open home floor plan expand before your eyes. The footprint of this home is quite a bit larger than others on the street, allowing for a larger Living Room and Dining Room. The interior has just been freshly painted by the current owners. Lots of natural light shines into the home.
The first floor bathroom is very rare in this area of Hyde Park! This half bath you see here is just off of the living room and kitchen, great for guests so they don’t have to go up stairs! Tasteful décor and fixtures inside this rare half bath!
Casual sophistication is what you will find in this state of the art custom home on the 7th hole in
Practical and impressive are the two words that come to mind when walking though the French doors that lead into the private study. Lush neutral carpeting and walls, a vaulted ceiling with recessed lighting, beautiful wood window treatments, and wainscoting allow for the visual beauty. Any state of the art home needs plenty of technology as well, and here you will also find a wireless and a land internet connection, with a hub inside this private study. The spacious study has plenty of room for a large sitting area inside the front bay, as well as all of the items for a working office or library.
Welcome home to 1627 Alcor Terrace. This home is solid brick with new Gilkey windows and a new boiler in 2005. The concrete driveway is clean and new. This home is located on a cul-de-sac street, with plenty of privacy. The home is in walking distance to the school, to the bus line and about 15 min to downtown, as well as a few minutes from shopping at Anderson Crossing and dozens of great restaurants.
The kitchen is white and has been updated with modern white appliances and ceramic tile floors. Just outside of the kitchen is the tiered deck and private rear yard. The kitchen includes a dishwasher, oven/range, refrigerator, and disposal. The kitchen is a galley kitchen, perfect for making dinner and retreating to the private rear deck, or the dining or living room.
The rear of this solid brick home shows the clean roof, and the tiered decking that attaches to this home. The deck over the garage is strong enough to support a hot tub, and a great space to entertain friends and family. The garage walks out from the lower level. The lower level is finished, with a full bathroom, Laundry, Recreation room and study. There is a storage area to the left of the garage under the deck as well for lawn care items.
Welcome home to 6340 Euclid Road. This beautiful home and park like yard is located in the Indian Hill School System, and on a great part of Euclid Road. Convenient to Kenwood Mall and I-71 this home is in a great location. This home is a cape cod made of solid brick with more than a half of an acre of park like yard conditions. The home has 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, an attached 2 car garage, a finished lower level and new mechanicals including a new Furnace. One level living is a great possibility with a bathroom and bedroom all on the first floor!
Step inside the home to find plenty of light and neutral decor. Hardwood floors beam in this home. The Living Room walks out to a wonderful covered porch. Inside, there is an inoperable fireplace, surrounded by built in bookshelves. On this first floor, there are two bedrooms with hardwood floors, as well as a completely renovated full bathroom that is just beautiful, all neutral tiles, with new sink and fixtures.
The Master Bedroom is on the second floor, and has wonderful lighting with skylights and several lighted ceiling fans. New tan carpeting was recently added to this Master Suite. Attic storage located off of the master, a desk area, a sitting area, a walk in closet and most importantly a private FULL Master Bathroom with a linen closet all on the second floor. Privacy galore! In the master, there is an entertainment center built into the wall, and that and the television inside of the unit are to be sold with this home. The sellers do have a window unit in the second floor for additional cooling in the summer, while the Central Air does go to the second floor, they prefer a bit more.
The kitchen has ceramic floors, brand new Stainless Steel Appliances, including a dishwasher! There is a great space in the kitchen for an eat-in for a bistro table and chairs or additional cabinet space or an island. However you live and cook, this kitchen will adapt to you. From the kitchen you can walk out to the private rear yard and tiered deck.
The Formal Dining Room is grand itself, with a beautiful glass chandelier very appropriate for the room. The coat closet is located inside the dining room, and the dining room enters a hallway with the first floor half bath, recently remodeled, as well as a completely restored original butler’s pantry, with the kitchen beyond. The formal Dining room is bright and open, with muted wallpaper on the walls, and great amounts of light through the windows. The double hung windows on the first floor all have custom plantation shutters throughout the home. These are great for allowing lots of light inside and plenty of privacy when you want it.
You can also go through the pocket door to the lower level where the bright and spacious lower level awaits you. Or, you can go up a short few stairs to reach the landing to go up to the second floor, or back down a few more to enter into the Living Room. Great open floor plan for your family!
